The first thing we are going to look at is the benefits of article marketing, and what it can do for you:

4. Offer a solution to a specific problem
5. Provide backlinks to your website when done properly

So as you can see the article marketing strategy that I am going to share with you provides great benefits.

The myth that you must be a writer is not true when it comes to article marketing. Take me for instance, I don’t profess to be a writer, but I know how to get my point across in my articles. I struggled for the longest time on what to write about, and this one simple technique called “Research” helped fix that.

So here is the plan…

Step 1. There are several ways to do your research.  I will share two ways with you…

Option 1 is to go to Google Alerts and set up an account. Your search term is the keyword(s) that people would be using to find your product or service in your niche.  What would they type in to find what you have to offer?  Ex: Dog Training, Train dogs, etc. When you set this service up, you will receive email updates alerting you about the latest relevant Google results (web news) based on your topic entered. You will possibly be able to see what your competition is doing and the latest on what’s going on in your industry.

Option 2 is to go to EzineArticles.com and type in the keyword for your niche or product. You will want to open up several articles on your niche and read them. Thoroughly research what you are about to write on and outline what your article will discuss.

Step 2. You are going to find keywords for your article.  There are several free tools for this. You can use paid keyword search tools, but I have been doing just fine using the free tools.  One of my favorites is Google’s Keyword Search Tool because it allows you to enter keywords for analysis or a website URL (great if you want to analyze your competition). There are tons of opinions on how many searches a keyword should have per month. I say, between 3,000 and 8,000 global searches.

For Example: You may be searching for “ONLINE MARKETING”. That is a broad keyword and has a lot of competition with 823,000 global searches per month. This is well over the recommended search numbers so you will need to narrow it down even further. Lets try…  “ONLINE MARKETING SOLUTIONS”… this has a monthly global search volume of 5,400, which is perfect.

Now that you have your keyword…

Step 3. You will want to use this keyword in the title of your article. Now, your article should be between 300-500 words and make sure you use the keyword in the first sentence of your article. You will also want to use your keyword sparingly throughout your article, at least 3 times and no more than 5 times if you chose to write 500 words. I also suggest bold, underlining and/or italicizing each instance of your keyword.

This is an easy 3-step process using an article marketing strategy that works. Don’t forget to put your keyword in the resource box of your article. Last but not least, you will want to submit your article to the top 5 article sites:

Make sure not to blatantly copy articles from websites or article directories and just repost them with your information. This is stealing and you should not do this. Sit back and be honest with yourself…  Are you someone who believes that you don’t have enough time to get your Work at Home Business Opportunity up and running smoothly? You are not alone. Many people that I talk to on a daily basis, claim they have too much to do and not enough time to do it. And it is because of this mindset that they end up beating themselves up, and their business looses momentum and suffers.

The main reasons for not building momentum in their businesses are the woes of life, juggling a full time job, family obligations, maintaining your health and a host of many other distractions.  It can leave you feeling drained and ultimately feeling like you are neglecting your life while catering to everyone else’s obligations, especially if you have children.

 Get out the dumps now because I have some good news! What if there was a way that you could build the momentum in your business and maximize your time in the process? The following strategies that I will outline will be the key to helping you get your work at home business opportunity flourishing before you know it.

WRITE DOWN Your Daily Routine

The first thing you will want to do is to write down your schedule in a quiet place. You will want to be very thorough, from the start and end time of events. How long does it take you to get dressed for work, drive your children to school, your commute to work, take children to extracurricular activities, work out time if you attend the gym, and any other weekly commitments you may have. Most importantly don’t forget to include weekends and family time. 

After you have this all written down, you should have a pretty good idea of what your typical work week looks like. If you are trying to see how you can fit a work at home based business opportunity into your schedule, you will want to look for openings in your week. Your goal is easy: look for a minimum of 2-3 hours per day that you can commit to spend on your business. You may need to re-prioritize some events to find the time. In the end it will be worth it. 

Stick With the Schedule You’ve Created and Re-Evaluate

 The next thing you will need to do is write your schedule into a calendar or planner and stick with it. Trust me, I know this can be tough because this is new for you, and in essence a new habit you are creating.  But once you start your newly planned routine it will get easier for you. You will want to re-evaluate your schedule every evening before bed to make sure that you don’t need to make any changes. This re-evaluation may allow you to find more time to spend on your work at home business opportunity.

Sticking with your schedule will be challenging and you will need to discipline yourself to stick to it and  work hard. You may have a rough day where you have gotten off a long exhausting day at work, taken the kids to the little league game, finished dinner, put the kids to bed and still must put in those 2 hours in your business. Again, in the end, it will be worth it.

Embrace Distractions

As we all know, life throws us curve balls. You will want to give it your best  and embrace the changes instead of fighting it. If your child is having a difficult night, and can’t get to bed on schedule, then you should focus on helping your child get settled down and off to sleep, even though you are supposed to be working your business.  Don’t worry about all the things you could be doing because it will be there when you get to it.

Focusing on one thing at a time is always best. This way you’re more you apt to be more efficient, effective and have a clear mind when working on the specific task.  This will definitely allow you to be more productive whenever you do work in your business.

You may want to keep a notepad or MP3 recorder handy so that if you get a new idea while you are working on your specific task you can jot it down, but not allow it to distract you while you are working., You can always come back to those thoughts later and prioritize them . I have found that you will use a lot less energy when you deal with your distractions head of resisting or fighting them.

If you always remember this one key point… that you have total control over your time and can ultimately change your habits whenever you are ready.
