So, you’re probably wondering what exactly are the Tools for success online? They are actually pretty simple, and at the bare minimum a must have for you to succeed online. I suggest, if you don’t have them that you make them a priority to get, so that you will be on the right track.

The first thing you will need is, a Domain Name.

A domain name indicates that you are a serious player and you know the importance of brand recognition. Your customized domain name will allow your customers to remember your site easily and will add a level of trust and integrity to your site. You will want to try to get a domain name that is short, memorable, keyword rich and  easy to spell. These are just a few tips to go by when selecting a domain name. You may need more than one, depending on what you are marketing.

The second thing you need is, a Hosting Provider.

If you are going to create a blog, a website, or a capture page, you must be able to share it with the world. Unless you are using an all in one set up, which I don’t recommend you will need a hosting provider. A web page will start out as just a file. And you will design this web page (file) with a web designer software.

In order to get this webpage live and viewable on the net, you will need to use a FTP (file protocol transfer) client to upload it to your webpage(file) to the internet and onto your server.

Both FileZilla, and CoreFtp are free, and offer a user friendly interface, but there are others. There are tons of hosting companies out there for you to chose from. The best way to chose is to look at review sites, and recommendations from others. I’ve been with my provider for several years, and I’ve never had any problems.

You can expect to pay between $8-10 per month for a basic package. You will receive access to the control panel, which is where you will be able to manage email and FTP accounts.

Last but not least, you need a Autoresponder Account.

An autoresponder is one of the single most import tools for success online that you must possess. It is an absolute must have, unless you are not looking to be around long online.  What is an autoresponder you may ask… simply put, it’s an email that is sent out automatically.

I’m sure you have received them when you have purchased a product online or when you have put your name and email address in someone’s opt in form on their website to receive information about a product or perhaps a free gift. The email that you receive is written before hand, so that the business owner doesn’t have to do it manually each time he makes a sale, or someone requests more information.

These messages are sent in specific intervals that the business owner specifies and are used to build rapport, establish a relationship, and ultimately to offer other products and services that may be of interest to their subscriber.

There are numerous companies to chose from when it comes to which autoresponder to use. You will need to make a decision based on what you are wanting to do. Some autoresponder software companies will not allow you to import leads from purchased listed, while others will. Make sure you research the pros and cons, once you have narrowed your selection down. I ultimately had to end up using two companies, because they both serve different purposes. Using these 3 tools  will ensure your  success online.

Why is High Integrity so important in this day and age? With so many scams out in the Internet and people in general lurking to take advantage of others, have caused people to become untrusting, and one might wonder if there are any honest people left with high integrity…  Many people fail to understand that high integrity is an important key to having great success in life and in business.

Striving for a character with high integrity, is to become a person of excellence, have a caring heart, and give value without expectation.

You will find that if you hold this one piece to the puzzle people are more likely to be attracted to you, and you won’t have to worry about your character being tarnished.

Recently I had an encounter with a person that befriended me and other entrepreneurs claiming that he would assist in the expansion of our business… To make a long story short, they didn’t honor the agreement that they entered into. And this really caught me by surprise.

I just don’t understand how some people truly devalue a character of high integrity. I mean grant it, I’m not perfect, nor is anyone for that matter. But when it comes to telling someone you are going to do something, they decide to trust you and take “your word” for it only to be taken for a ride, is completely unfair and unethical.

Sometimes we are faced with challenges that are not always easy, but if you have a high character of integrity, you will at least be proud of the “right” choice you made.

I can tell you that one thing I have learned throughout the entire ordeal, is to always go with your gut instinct, and to make sure you have whatever you are doing in “writing”. This way, at the end of the day… You are not left holding the bag.

To avoid situations like this, I’d like to challenge you to always strive for a character of high integrity at all times…  In the end, your conscious will appreciate you for it and so will many others!

Remember, striving for a character of high integrity will allow you to be a winner in life and in business!

How can I drive more traffic to my site?… That’s the question of the day. So many people want to know the answer to that question and I’d like to share a few tips to help you do just that… drive traffic to your website. Keep in mind that this list is in no particular order and there are numerous other ways. These are just a few.

1. Ezine Advertising. This avenue allows you to advertise your site in somebody else’s online newsletter. Ezines share news, updates, and website promotions to its visitors. Make sure you advertise in ezines that are targeted to your specific niche. Be sure to keep in mind that prices can vary widely depending on the niche and subscriber base of the ezine you want to advertise in. Another alternative you may want to consider is writing articles applicable to your site, and offer them for free to other newsletter owners. Make sure that they include the resource box that links back to your site in exchange for providing their site with free quality content.

2. Blogging. Make your blog interesting, and don’t be afraid to be yourself. Find other blogs in your realm of the market, and make genuine, useful comments. If used properly this can build a good relationship with blog owners. Most blogs will allow you to add a link back to your own site, but make sure not to spam other sites and constantly promote sales pitches. This is a very big turn off, and will give you a bad name quickly. Update your blog often, and at the very least 2-3 times per week if you want readers to stay tuned. Last but not least, add a RSS feed to your blog so that readers can be notified when you post anything new.

3. Building a List + Autoresponder= Must have. If you want to spin your wheels then don’t start building a list. It will surely kill you in the long run because how can you afford to throw money away? What if you have another product that goes hand in hand with a product you launched that did quite well….How are you going to tell all those people about it? Simple…build a list, and make sure they are receiving good, quality content along with occasional promotion. If you can’t produce the autoresponder content, get someone to help you write the content or pay someone. Make a note to not always give your good quality content away for free because that is what your subscribers will become used to, and it will be almost impossible to get them to purchase anything from you because they will expect to continue receiving good, quality content for…..Free!

4. Pay-Per Click. If you have the money to spend, you can market your site via pay-per-click search engines like  Google Adwords, Yahoo! Search Marketing, and Microsoft ad Center which are indeed the three largest. FB PPC  is slowly stepping into the picture and may be a force to reckon with soon. If you have never experienced pay-per-click advertising, be prepared to experience a learning curve, and don’t get frustrated to the point of giving up. The old saying “practice makes perfect” does apply, just keep that in the back of your mind. In case you are unfamiliar with pay-per click advertising, it allows you to bid on keyword(s) phrases relevant to your site/target market and your cost will vary.

Following these simple techniques can help drive traffic to your website. There are tons more great traffic ideas like squidoo, hubpages, facebook, twitter, classified ads, video marketing, safelists, but the one’s discussed above are a few to get you started. Hope this tidbit of information puts you on the right track to increasing your web traffic.

• Pay attention to what catches your eye when you are browsing through the emails, and take notes. Don’t blatantly copy, but take notes and use tips and pointers when you send out more emails.
• Last but not least, You MUST use the safelist’s consistently for them to work. You are branding yourself with repetition and increasing the likely hood of your emails being opened.
